Project Spotlight

Widows of Warriors

At the onset of the war, the Israel Alliance recognized that widows of IDF soldiers needed more than one-time donations or generous gifts; they needed a genuine connection and consistent, compassionate support. Support that truly understands their pain and walks alongside them in a deep and meaningful way.

Through our Widows of Warriors and Adopt-A-Widow programs, we’ve built something powerful. From monthly Rosh Chodesh “hug” packages, to healing retreats, to Shabbat respite programs for widows and their children, to babysitting and cleaning help—The Israel Alliance has become a vital source of comfort, strength, and community for over 200 widows.

Your Impact

Experience Your Giving

Your philanthropic endeavors through the Israel Alliance go beyond mere giving. You become our partner in spreading good and helping where it’s needed most- and we want you to feel like the partner that you are. We want you to see the light in an orphan child’s eyes when they get fitted for brand-new shoes. We want you to experience the relief on a widow’s face when we present her with a generous donation to cover her mounting expenses. We want you to feel the gratitude of the soldier who receives life-saving equipment thanks to your help.

Here’s how your donation is helping:

Protecting Those Who Protect Us

Did you know that night-vision scopes can detect smartphones and smartwatches? For a combat soldier, wearing one can turn them into an easy target.

When Hamas launched its massive invasion of Israel’s southern border, hundreds of thousands of reservists were called up immediately. Many arrived without a safe way to tell time. The need was urgent.

With your support, we purchased and distributed thousands of durable, old-school G-Shock watches to combat soldiers, helping them stay safe, focused, and mission-ready.

Our support does not stop there. We provide essential gear, including helmets, vests, warm coats, security drones, and other critical equipment soldiers need on the ground.

When you support our work, you are protecting lives, strengthening families, and standing with those who defend Israel every day.

Supporting Orphans of Terror and War

We support children who have lost a parent to terror or war by listening first. We speak directly with their mothers to understand what is truly needed and what will bring comfort and joy to their children. Sometimes that means showing up with a birthday cake so a child feels remembered on their special day. Other times, it means providing essential items that ease daily life. We also send family fun packages, filled with games, treats, and thoughtful surprises, which supporters can sponsor and help pack. Throughout the year, especially during holidays and family-oriented times when the absence of a father is felt most deeply, we organize joyful events and fun days to lift spirits and create new, positive memories. Our goal is simple: to respond with care, sensitivity, and support that meets each family where they are.

Meeting Hardship With Compassion

This is Leah Ayish, mother of Itamar Avraham, the first IDF soldier to fall defending Israel in the current war, and mother to two special needs children. Itamar, who served in the Homefront Command, died a hero while trying to rescue innocent men, women, and children from the hands of Hamas terrorists.

When Rabbi Moshe learned of Leah’s financial hardship, he immediately stepped in, covering funeral expenses and offering vital support during her darkest hour, all thanks to your generous donations.

The Israel Alliance seeks out stories like Leah’s across Israel, lifting people from crisis with dignity, compassion, and a spirit of friendship and hope.
